Born & raised in Sag Harbor, NY most local high school graduates find themselves continuing their education somewhere close to the ocean. Studying Global Environmental Sciences at University of Hawaii at Manoa sounded like the right decision for Surf Hamptons owner, Zak Gawronski. 

First learning how to surf at ten years old in Montauk, Zak, like many beginners fell in love with the sport and the lifestyle that surfing brings. 

His (somewhat) unwillingness to grow up, makes him a great leader for Surf Hamptons - always bringing a smile to both the children he teaches & their parents. His knowledge of the water both on the East Coast and Island of Oahu, ensures parents that they are leaving their new surfers in the hands of someone who knows the ocean. 

After instructing for over a decade, Zak finally made the leap to start a business of his own. Surf Hamptons was established to grow the surf community together in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
